Case 41%, Hirono 39%; The Big Mo
Dear Friend:
Case 41%, Hirono 39%. That's the result of an independent poll of U. S. Senate Democratic primary voters released this morning by Honolulu Civil Beat.
This is an auspicious start to the Year of the Dragon (speaking as a Water Dragon!) It's better than the last independent poll and far better than Mazie's own poll, both from last year.
What it all means is that as voters think through the choice between me and Mazie, about who can really do the job for us in the Senate over the next generation, we are gaining support and momentum. All of the DC/mainland special interest/PAC money and endorsements flooding her campaign are not changing that.
I deeply appreciate your support to date; you have gotten us off to this great beginning of our "real campaign". But it's more crucial than ever that I ask for your active support, especially your contributions. We're not going to outraise or outspend Mazie, but if and as we stay on track to raise what we need, from folks like you, we will be able to deliver our message of strong effective leadership across Hawai'i, to prevail come election day, and to represent you and not the DC insiders as your U. S. Senator.
Can you help us today with a contribution of $25, $100, $250 or more (up to the legal maximum of $5,000)? Can you ask your family and friends and circles to do the same by talking with them or forwarding this enewsletter to your address list?
Your continued kokua with a donation today will make all the difference in maintaining our momentum through the months ahead. As well, we have lots going on in our grassroots campaign statewide where you live and work and would welcome you to our campaign 'ohana right now.
Warm aloha,

Ed Case
PS: Have you seen our two TV ads, "Strong Effective Leadership" and "Mazie or Ed/Think About It"? Please help us keep them on air statewide and build our momentum even more with your donation of $10, $50, $200 or more today. Mahalo!
