Time for Record, Beliefs, Agenda

Dear Friend:

Today is the official candidate filing deadline. Your U. S. Senate candidates have filed, and the primary election is just 67 days away, on August 11th.

Normally this is when campaigns begin in earnest, when voters start comparing the candidates through debates, campaign materials and other information. However, my primary opponent has refused most debate invitations, including four on statewide television, and the last scheduled joint appearance she accepted takes place next week Thursday, June 14th. This leaves her off air except through her own paid commercials for most of the real campaign season, just as voters are starting to tune in.

I hope my opponent changes her mind and agrees to debates on statewide TV and radio and other joint appearances when voters are paying the most attention. You are owed that.

I hope she also provides you with full information on her own congressional record, beliefs and specific Senate agenda, as I've done on my website at http://www.edcase.com That .will give you some way of comparing us on the issues voters care about like fixing DC and growing our economy, especially if she denies you the opportunity to consider us side by side and under normal work conditions for U. S. Senators.

It's time, with just over two short months left, for your Senate candidates to move past our backgrounds and on to what each of us has done, what we believe, and just how we''ll provide strong effective leadership for Hawaii and our country in the Senate over the next generation. It's time to talk not about yesterday but about today and tomorrow.

I look forward to a full and fair campaign, and welcome your questions and thoughts.

Aloha,

Ed Case

PS: We need your contribution and your other kokua. Mahalo!
