UHPA Ad; Big Island Swing; Pau Hana/Central Honolulu
Dear Friend:
Please check out this ad, "Always True To Hawai'i", from the University of Hawai'i Professional Assembly on my roots and values. "Local values that can stand up for the people of Hawai'i in Washington." Mahalo, UHPA, for your support!
In that spirit, Audrey and I are off to Hawai'i Island, where my values were most shaped, for some old-fashioned whistle-stop campaigning. (Yes, Harry Truman has always been one of my favorite Presidents, especially for his successful "can't-win" grassroots campaign of '48.)
We cap our swing in West Hawai'i at a U. S. Senate Candidate Forum on Monday, July 16th, 5:30PM - 8PM, at Kealakehe High School Cafeteria, hosted by the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Kohala Coast Resort Association, Hawaii Island Realtors, Lava 105.3FM/Mahalo Broadcasting, West Hawaii Today and www.hawaii247.com and broadcast live on Lava 105.3FM. As my Democratic opponent declined this invite and all others on the Big Island, I'm looking forward to joining our U. S. House District 2 candidates for a lively discussion.
On O'ahu next week, we're continuing our latest round of statewide talk story community events with our Pau Hana with Ed/Central Honolulu. Here are the details:
Pau Hana with Ed/Central Honolulu
Wednesday, July 18th
6PM - 7:30PM
Noelani Elementary School
2655 Woodlawn Drive, Manoa
Please come enjoy good food and company, check out my candidacy and ask me your questions. And please feel free to bring your family and friends; the more the better!
As we come down to the final weeks of this critical election, I ask you to think it all through and I ask for your vote. I welcome your questions and am grateful for your consideration.
Mahalo and aloha,

PS: If you support my candidacy and can help power us through the next 28 days until August 11th, please contribute whatever you can today and kokua with your volunteer support wherever and however you can. Mahalo!
