Karen Kawachika often brings these energy bars on a flight. They’re so ono and a great snack to keep the energy levels up.

Karen’s Energy Bars

Melt together in large pot, on low heat, until smooth:

1 block butter
1 pkg. (16 oz.) marshmallows
1 cup peanut butter

In a big bowl (for microwave), heat together in microwave for 3 minutes on “HI”:

2 cups oatmeal 1 cup raisins/dried cranberries
5 cups Rice Krispies 1 cup unsalted peanuts
¼ cup roasted sesame seeds/ sunflower seeds

Quickly mix dry ingredients into the large pot of butter/marshmallow mixture. Spread and press into a well greased 9” X 13” pan. Cool, cut into bars and wrap in waxed paper. Makes about 32 bars.
