Auntie Sue's Plantation Rice

FOR 10 CUPS RICE, USE LARGE SIZE PAN

FOR 8 CUPS RICE, USE MEDIUM PAN

INGREDIENTS:

One package large nori sheets used for maki sushi
2 - 3 cans tuna, drained
1 can Tokyo zuke or fukujin zuke
1 bottle nori paste
1 bottle furikake
½ cup shoyu
½ cup sugar
mirin

Stir fry tuna with the shoyu and sugar and a dash of mirin. Add more sugar for a sweeter taste.

Line pan with a single layer of the large nori sheets. Then layer half of the rice evenly over the nori sheets. Top rice lightly with the bottled nori paste. Then spread the tuna evenly over the nori paste layer. Spread the Tokyo zuke or mirin zuke evenly over the tuna and then place the rest of the rice evenly over all for the final layer. Press down gently but firmly. Sprinkle the furikake over the rice. Slice up in squares to serve.
